Entering
No. Entry is free for every category of the Rural Business Awards 2026.
Up to three. Most entrants enter one or two — pick the categories that best match the work you want recognised.
Any UK-based rural business, rural-economy business, or individual whose work materially affects rural Britain. There is no minimum size, turnover or age.
Any business whose primary trading location, customers, supply chain or product/service is materially rural. If you're unsure, just enter.
Entries open in spring 2026 and close in summer 2026. Sign up for updates on the homepage to be notified the moment entries open.
Judging
An independent panel of rural business owners, sector leaders and senior editors, chaired by Richard Alvin, founder of the awards.
No. Judges donate their time. There are no judging fees paid by entrants or sponsors.
Each entry is read end-to-end by at least two judges and scored against the published criteria for that category.
Sponsorship
Yes — Headline, Category and Supporting Partner packages are all available for 2026. Request the prospectus via the Sponsorship Packages page.
No. Sponsors do not see entries, do not score entries, and do not select shortlists or winners.
Tickets & the Night
Single seats, half-tables of five and full tables of ten can be booked via the Book Now page. Bookings are confirmed within 48 hours.
Black tie. Business formal is acceptable for those attending directly from the working day.
Finalists receive one complimentary seat. To bring a team or table of guests, a standard table booking is required.
